22:3. தாவீது அவ்விடத்தைவிட்டு மோவாபியரைச் சேர்ந்த மிஸ்பேக்குப் போய், மோவாபின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: தேவன் என்னை எப்படி நடத்துவார் என்று நான் அறியுமட்டும், என் தகப்பனும் என் தாயும் உங்களிடத்திலே தங்கியிருக்கும்படி தயவு செய்யும் என்று சொல்லி,

22:3. தாவீது அதுல்லாமை விட்டு மோவாபிலுள்ள மிஸ்பாவிற்கு சென்றான். மோவாபின் அரசனிடம், "எனக்காக தேவன் என்ன செய்யப்போகிறார் என்று தெரியும் மட்டும் என் தாயும் தந்தையும் இங்கு வந்து தங்கி இருக்க தயவு செய்து அனுமதிக்க வேண்டும்" என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டான்.
